Built by operators.
For operators
who are done waiting.
Three people who spent decades watching the same failure repeat in Australian business. Decided to fix it. This is what they built.
The origin
The problem they kept watching repeat itself.
Luke spent years running large-scale sales operations across property and finance. Same failure, different companies: businesses spending serious money on marketing, then losing the leads because nobody called them back fast enough and the tech didn't route them anywhere useful. The pipeline was leaking. The websites weren't converting. And every agency they tried delivered a deck, a logo refresh, and absolutely nothing that changed revenue.
“The leads weren't the problem. The system was.”
The gap nobody was fixing.
Shah Jalal was a software engineer building high-performance systems for international firms. He'd watched the same thing from the other side — businesses investing seriously in digital, getting polished-looking websites, and then watching conversion flatline because the infrastructure was weak and the CRM integration was an afterthought. He and Luke understood that the failure wasn't a sales problem or a tech problem in isolation. It was both. And fixing one without the other made no difference.
“A website that looks professional but converts nobody is just expensive decoration.”
The decision to build it themselves.
Michael came in to anchor the commercial reality. He'd spent years negotiating high-value deals across sectors that don't tolerate vague or scripted — and understood that outreach only works when it sounds authoritative, not like a call centre. The three of them didn't start an agency. They built an integrated growth unit: the thing they'd each spent their careers wishing existed. Australian callers with the Standby system. Custom-engineered websites and landing pages. One partner. No HR headache.
“We built it because we were done waiting for someone else to.”
The founders
Three people. One integrated unit.
Not a roster of account managers. Not a team of generalists. Three operators with different specialisations who each understand the whole problem.

Luke Bartlett
Luke Bartlett
Co-Founder & Sales Director
“If your pipeline has a leak, we'll find it. Then we'll fix it.”
Luke has spent his career building and running high-performance sales operations across property and finance. The common thread across every role was the same: organisations with serious marketing budgets and broken follow-up systems — spending money to generate leads they never actually converted. He founded Humm&Buzz to solve the problem from the outside rather than keep fighting it from the inside. He manages national strategy, client relationships, and the Standby system. He also answers his own phone.

Michael Goodspeed

Co-Founder & Industry Specialist
“Generic outreach is just expensive noise. We don't do generic.”
Michael brings the industry intelligence that turns a phone call into a credible conversation. Having spent years negotiating high-value deals across sectors that don't tolerate vague or scripted, he understands exactly what buyers at the decision-maker level actually respond to — and it's not a call centre script. He ensures that every Humm&Buzz interaction reflects the authority and professionalism that your clients expect from you. He's the reason our callers sound like they understand the industry. Because they do.

Md Shah Jalal
Co-Founder & Technical Lead
“We don't just build the tech — we build the system that makes everything else work.”
Shah Jalal is a full-stack software engineer who has built and shipped production systems for firms across Bangladesh, Singapore, Australia, the USA, Germany, Kenya, Morocco, and the Philippines. He has led engineering across the full stack — Node.js, NestJS, Next.js, React, TypeScript, MySQL,MongoDB, MikroORM and so on. He served as Scrum Leader for 24 teams at once, earned a Black Belt in web development ranking in the top 5% of over 5,500 participants, and has single-handedly integrated 20+ management modules into live enterprise platforms. He built the engineering foundation of Humm&Buzz — the conversion architecture, CRM webhooks, and the infrastructure that makes every landing page actually perform. He manages the engineering team and contributes directly to every build.
How we operate
Five things we hold to. No exceptions.
Results first.
We don't measure activity. We don't track impressions. We measure what's actually happening: qualified appointments in your calendar, leads converted, revenue generated. Everything else is noise.
Zero HR risk.
You get an elite outbound unit, a custom-engineered website, and high-converting landing pages — without one superannuation payment, payroll cycle, workers' comp claim, or HR conversation. Ever.
Professional integrity.
We represent your brand. Every call we make, every page we build, every interaction we create reflects the standard your clients expect from you. We don't take that lightly.
Straight talk.
No inflated metrics. No "marketing fluff." No vanity reports. You'll always know exactly what's working, what's not, and what we're doing about it. In plain language.
Technical authority.
Your digital presence should be a funnel, not a brochure. We engineer it to perform like one — with custom components, real CRM integration, and infrastructure that doesn't degrade the moment you stop paying a monthly SaaS fee.
The mission
What we build
Stop the bleeding. Start the growth.
Every day your leads sit cold is revenue leaking through the cracks. One conversation is all it takes to map the fix.
Ready when you are
Ready to stop watching leads go cold?
One conversation. No pitch deck. No offshore shortcuts. We map the fastest path to qualified pipeline, better conversion, or both — then we execute.
